Tess Dawson is an Australian artist based in Naarm (Melbourne). Painting in acrylics, watercolour and oils, her works have been recognised through multiple awards and exhibitions. Practicing in a style that traverses figurative and realism, Tess explores scenes from life in a charming and sincere manner, offering curious observations about greater narratives unfolding.
Tess was the winner of the Best Non-traditional Work under $1.5K at the Camberwell Art Show in 2023, the winner of the Shortlist Award in Southern Buoy in 2021 where she was also a finalist in 2021, and was the winner of the Best Emerging Art Award in the Roberts McCubbin Art Show.
She has exhibited in both NSW and VIC, and exhibited her first exhibition at Marios in 2023.
